365 Photo Project, Day 31

SOmetimes I like to relax with a glass of good whiskey. Saw this Stillhaouse Black Bourbon at my favorite store and decided to try it. It’s a little rough for doing shots, but it’s ok as a sipping whiskey. A little warm going down but the aftertaste is actually pretty good. About $29/bottle and better than Jim Beam or Jack Daniels in my opinion. Heck, it’s better than Maker’s Mark fir that matter. Hoope ya’ll are having a nice quiet Saturday evening…

365 Photo Project, Day 30

I tried swapping out the MB battery in my clunker PC and still couldn’t get it to boot. Decided to give up for now and start working on a newer build. For this one I’m using an old case I bought about 20 years ago, but with new parts inside. Should be fun. I need a PC in my man cave, especially with summer coming up. So got this one together and… it won’t boot. Glad I have a buzz cut now – if my hair was long enough to grab I’d be taering it out right now.

365 Photo Project, Day 29

My wife has been making lamb and daikon soup a lot. Really tasty, healthy, and easy to make. Daikon doesn’t grow in my area, but rutabagas would work good too. Anyway, if you live in a warmer climate save the daikon tops and use them to grow your own. nMy wife is saving this one. Kind of cool, looks like a tree growing out of an old stump.

365 Photo Project, Day 28

Our home PC is getting about as slow as molasses in January. I spent a lot of time cleaning it up and defragging the drive. It’s a lot better, but still slow… I’ve had this one sitting in the garage for a few years so I decided to dust it off and see if I can get it working. It’s over 10 years old, but still newer than the one we’re using. Can’t get it to boot, so I’ll replace the main board battery and swap out some known good RAM. We’ll see…

365 Photo Project, Day 26

Tired of taking pictures of crap around the house, so I thought I’d make some homemade beef jerky to take the next time I go shooting. Went to Costco for beef. NO good beef for making jerky. This is starting to become a regular thing. They are having a smoking hot deal on a Samsung Tablet though. I think I need to get one… it would simplify my blogging quite a bit.

365 Photo Project, Day 25

Got more snow last night. Not too much so it was easy to shovel. Sidewalk and driveway dried off nicely by afternoon. I love snow except when I have to drive on it. We sure need it – been a really dry winter so far.

365 Photo Project, Day 24

Another project that never got finished – my chicken coop. I really hope I’ll be able to find chickens this year. My mon just ordered seeds, and most of the seed companies are already OOS (out of stock) on a lot of open pollinated seeds. Shit, and it’s only January… I guess everyone is getting ready for the man-made disaster otherwise known as the Biden presidency. Oh well…

Peace out,

365 Photo Project, Day 23

Got some light snow last night, but by this afternoon it was mostly gone. We still had a little in our front yard, and I thought it made a pretty cool picure with the rocks (landscaping) showing through. And yes, I’m running out of picture ideas. Less than a month in…
